Hi Pieta thanks for talking to us today. What made you join Tupperware and why?

I joined Tupperware approximately 3½ years ago. It was at the time that interest rates had increased dramatically and I knew that I needed to return to work. I quickly did the maths and discovered that if I returned to teaching and paid for day care for two of our then three children, I would be teaching to cover the cost of day care.

So teaching wasn’t the answer…I needed something else. Something to fit to my family. I still wanted to be a “stay at home mum” and be involved with our children and their activities but, I also knew that I needed to contribute to our house hold financially.

Tupperware certainly offered what I was looking for. I could be my own boss, work when it suited me, have the school holidays off, party when Greg; my husband was at home and earn money.

Do you have a personal goal and how do you go about achieving it?

When I first started Tupperware, my personal goal was to earn $100 per week to cover the cost of school fees. I soon discovered that it could do a lot more!

Earlier this year, we purchased an onsite van (which profits of my parties paid for). My goal now is to maintain the van and pay for the ongoing fees. Having the van allows Greg and I to take our four (and soon to be five) children away regularly for weekends and holidays.

How does this equate to parties?

A regular program keeps me on track for my personal goals. Holding one party a week covers the ongoing fees of our van. I usually hold between two-four parties a week, this allows for family ‘extras’ things we would not otherwise be able to afford such as Ballet and Tennis lessons, outings to the movies or dinners out.

What do you love most about being a Tupperware Demonstrator?

I love being a Tupperware Demonstrator. It gives me my own identity and I am my own boss! I love that by being a Tupperware Demonstrator, I can fit my working commitments to my family and home life. It allows me to still be the "stay at home mum" and be involved in their schooling and activities whilst still contributing to our household financially.

Top three tips for being a consistent demonstrator?
