NBCF and NZBCF Update

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is one of Australia’s most respected charities, and Tupperware Australia is proud to be a platinum sponsor. We are also proud to support the extraordinary efforts of the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

The ultimate goal of the NBCF is to raise enough money to fund a cure for breast cancer. The NBCF is Australia's leading national not-for profit organization. Established to fund all forms of research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer, the NBCF has a responsibility to ensure that the funds raised are used in the best possible way towards making this goal a reality. The NZBCF is primarily focused on public education programmes. The NZBCF believes that knowledge is the first step to early detection.

Tupperware’s total payment made to NBCF so far in 2009 is $151,665.41. Our payments to the NZBCF totaled over $13,500 during January -July 2009. With the launch of our Spring/Summer catalogue, Tupperware will be donating $2.00 from every purchase of our Weekender set to the NBCF and NZBCF charities in Australia and New Zealand respectively.

October is breast Cancer Awareness month in both Australia and New Zealand. On this page, you can see our sponsor advertising, which will appear in PINK magazine in both Australia and New Zealand during the month of October. The Australian Pink magazine will be attached to the October issue of the Australian Women’s Weekly with a further 100,000 copies available in newsagents nationally.

Below, you’ll find links to the Australian Pink Ribbon Breakfast site and the NZBCF’s October activities. You’ll also find a link to the Pink Shop, which is open all year. Please take the time to visit these links, and find out what you can do to help find a cure for this terrible disease.
