Karen Vincent -
Demonstrator of the Month

Hi Karen, thanks for talking to us today. How did you get interested in Tupperware?

I have always loved Tupperware and have had several parties. About three years ago, one of my friends had a party and talking to her prompted me into calling a local manager. The manager told me about all the Tupperware opportunity benefits - the part about working your own hours to suit your family and the extra cash really appealed to me. I have two boys and my husband did shift work, so it was hard to find work that fitted into our life, but sure enough Tupperware fits like a glove.

What are your goals for yourself and your family?

My personal goal is to keep on enjoying my job, while still providing for my family. Tupperware has given me the opportunity to take my family on great holidays, which means we can live and grow together. Last year, I took my family to Queensland and did all the theme parks – this was a great thrill for my boys.

What steps do you take to ensure you have a consistent personal programme?

As demonstrators we have the pleasure in selling great products. For success the product is not the only thing that needs to be great.. you should always present yourself as you would your product.

Have fun at your parties, do the very best for your hosts and go out always thinking double dating – this becomes a win win situation. It all comes down to great customer service. Great service will give you repeat business.

What positive changes has Tupperware made to you and your family?

Before I started at Tupperware I was quite a shy person and was very fearful of speaking in front of people. The change to my self-esteem has been the most positive in my ventures. I now love meeting and talking to new people and happy to take on just about anything.

For my family I am able to spend the quality time with them doing something that we all enjoy. If the kids have something important on I just block it out in my diary and can now do this as I am my own boss.

What’s your best dating tip?

  1. Back your sales up with great service
  2. Follow up any issues with replacements
  3. Be on time
  4. Have fun
  5. Always think double dates
