Toffee Brie with Candied Walnuts

  • Ingredients

  • 1 x 200g round Brie
    1 cup caster sugar
    ¼ cup water
    8 walnut halves
    Crackers or croutons and dried fruits to serve

  • Place the Brie onto the TupperChef™ Baking Sheet.

    Place the sugar and water in a saucepan over low heat, stirring with the TupperChef Spatula. Once the sugar has completely dissolved increase the heat to high.

    Dip the TupperChef Baking Brush in water and brush down any sugar crystals on the inside of the pan.

    Bring sugar water to the boil and cook for about 8 minutes until it forms a toffee that is a dark amber colour. Remove from the heat and pour ¾ of the toffee over the Brie, allowing it to run down the sides.

    Stir the walnut halves into the remaining toffee. Using a fork, carefully coat the walnuts and place on the Brie.

    Set aside for a few minutes until the toffee has cooled.

    Place on a cheese board, and crack into the Toffee Brie with the back of a spoon. Serve with crisp croutons or crackers and dried fruits such as apricots, muscatels or figs.
